Fluvanna Mother's Group is an organization that offers an open playgroup for children up to age 6 and their caregivers - moms, dads, grandparents and nannies. Biggest Loser Cville is a community event produced by the Hope Community Center. Lose weight and feel great all while bringing HOPE to those in need. UVA Football Player and Personal Trainer Jon Copper will be putting hundreds of locals through a 10-week training program where participants will not only lose weight, but build lasting relationships and a tighter community. FIFEVILLE, JOHNSON VILLAGE, AND RIDGE STREET TOWN HALL MEETING
City of Charlottesville.
First in a series of town hall meetings to be held throughout the city this summer and fall. Residents in the Fifeville, Johnson Village, and Ridge Street neighborhoods are invited to attend a casual community gathering to begin discussions with City Council and city staff about the issues that most affect their quality of life in town. Dinner will be provided along with activities for all ages and childcare services for families with children. The vision of these meetings is to listen to citizen's concerns and provide residents with better avenues of communication and engagement to improve their neighborhood and the City of Charlottesville. These informal meetings will continue in other neighborhoods throughout the city into the fall and further dates and locations will be announced as they are designated. All residents are welcome at any of these meetings but concerns specific to the surrounding neighborhoods of each site will be addressed as priority.
